Support for your computer

The remit of the St. Cross College IT Manager is to look after the college computers ONLY (it's a funding issue) and he could only help on an if-available basis. There are three ways to find alternative help:

  1. If you have a laptop you can get help at the Computing Services (the OUCS Help Centre, 13 Banbury Road, weekdays 8.30AM - 8.30PM).
  2. See if you can obtain help from your department's IT support.
  3. Finally as a last shot, find a friendly computer-literate student and bribe him with food/alcohol and gifts to perform acts of magic on your silicon nightmare. Remember that (s)he could be earning good money doing this in the real world and that they probably find it as dull and tedious as you.
