Kate VenablesKate Venables has a longstanding research interest in the epidemiology and prevention of occupational disease, originally asthma but now more broadly. She runs a large epidemiological research project about mortality and cancer incidence in relation to chemical warfare agent trials at Porton Down, which includes 40,000 military veterans. She is also interested in applying epidemiological methods to problems of health service delivery and evaluation and runs a research project in this field. She has served on WHO, US NIOSH and UK governmental advisory committees, as well as on editorial boards and research advisory committees.
