Stevenson, AliceDr Alice Stevenson MA(Cantab), MA, Ph.D. Cambridge, FSA (Scot), Curatorial Researcher in World Archaeology in the Pitt Rivers Museum, Junior Research Fellow email: alice.stevenson Alice Stevenson is currently a Curatorial Researcher in World Archaeology at the Pitt Rivers Museum, where she has just completed work on the ‘Characterizing the World Archaeology Collections' project, due to be published in Autumn 2011. Her research focuses principally on Predynastic (prehistoric) Egyptian and Nubian archaeology, as well as aspects of museum studies and the history of archaeology. She is part of a team of researchers working towards a new set of radiocarbon dates for the period of state formation in Egypt and is also currently a Trustee of the Egypt Exploration Society. Her recent publications include The Predynastic Egyptian Cemetery of el-Gerzeh. Leuven: Peeters (2009), ‘Social relations in Predynastic burials' Journal of Egyptian Archaeology 95 (2009), as well as several articles for UCLA's Encyclopaedia for Egyptology and for the Oriental Institute, Chicago.
