Corneliu Bjola has previously taught at the University of Toronto and McMaster University, Canada. His research interests lie at the nexus of international diplomacy and international ethics and focus on questions relating to how diplomacy handles demands for global stability vs. global justice. 

Dr Bjola's most recent publications include 'Legitimising the Use of Force in International Politics: Kosovo, Iraq and the Ethics of Intervention' (Routledge 2009) and 'Arguing Global Governance: Agency, Lifeworld, and Shared Reasoning' (co-edited with Dr Markus Kornprobst, Routledge 2010).
