Founded in 1965, St Cross occupies a very special site in the heart of the city and the University. We have approximately 480 graduate students at any one time, studying for degrees in all subjects. We are particularly proud of our international diversity, and welcome some 70% of our students from outside the UK.

Our Fellowship is similarly diverse and represents a broad range of academic disciplines in the sciences and the arts, including public health, business studies, environmental studies, ethics and international relations.

Unusually for an Oxford College we maintain our founding tradition of sharing social facilities between Fellows, members of Common Room and students, with no separate High Table or Senior Common Room.

Our interdisciplinarity in conjunction with the very international nature of the College means that St Cross is an important community of scholars who forge links across a range of subjects.
